I should have made this clear and someone brought this to my attention, it seems as though I wore hijab because it looked good on me. I’m not gonna lie, one of the reasons I didn’t want to wear hijab at that age was because I was really insecure about the way I looked and one reason was because I thought I would look ugly. I come from a predominately white school, everyone dresses in name brand clothes and what not, so it gets to you that you don’t want to look different. I know a lot of girls don’t wear hijab because of this reason, many are not ready for it and some don’t think it’s fair. We all have our reasons for wearing hijab but because i looked good in it wasn’t the sole reason I wore it. Sure, I was happy that I didn’t look as bad as I thought but that was just a bonus. But I really stand for what the Hijab means about modesty and it’s one of the best forms of liberations. I hope that’s clear now and answers any questions.
